NASHVILLE, TN. (Broken Bow Records) – Broken Bow Records country star CRAIG MORGAN will appear in NBC's special military episode of 'Three Wishes' scheduled to air on Friday, October 28 (9-10 p.m. ET/8-9 p.m. Central) where they will give away homes – and more – to Marines returning home from Iraq. The Marines honored are from the 3rd Battalion, 25th Regiment stationed in Brook Park, OH, a division that has suffered some of the most staggering losses in the ongoing war in Iraq.
'It was such an honor to participate in a reality show that focuses on helping people and communities,' says Craig Morgan. 'But the show doesn't only put emphasis on projecting a positive message on screen, everyone involved in the production off camera – from the celebrities to the crew – are genuine examples of the show's philosophy. This is the type of programming I am proud to be associated with.'
The 'Three Wishes' team - Amy Grant, Carter Oosterhouse, Eric Stromer and Diane Mizota – travel to Ohio to honor these men as they return home from their tours of duty in Iraq. The show was granted special military access to this emotional homecoming as the Marines, still mourning the loss of 48 in their division, are reunited with family and friends.
One Marine steps off a plane from his tour of duty and meets his infant son for the first time, but that's just the beginning. The 'Three Wishes' team – along with countless friends and neighbors – present him with a house, giving him an amazing homecoming he'll never forget. Two close-knit cousins who thought they were returning home to live in the family basement instead learn they have a new home – plus two other incredible surprises.
'Three Wishes' also presents a dream home to the widow – now raising two young children alone - of an Army soldier killed by a roadside bomb while training Iraqi Police forces in Baghdad. Then another young Marine gets the surprise of his life when 'Three Wishes' helps his fiancée throw him a surprise wedding in front of his friends, family and fellow Marines.
Army Veteran Craig Morgan joins the 'Three Wishes' team in Ohio, where he performs his upcoming single, 'I Got You,' from his album titled MY KIND OF LIVIN' as part of a 'thank you' concert for the families. Craig co-wrote 'I Got You' with Phil O'Donnell and Tim Owens. This new single is the follow-up release to his back-to-back No 1 hits 'That's What I Love About Sunday' and 'Redneck Yacht Club.'
