Singer Marti West Releases "Talking To Strangers" Album And He Shares "Always"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Pensive UK singer Marti West has released his new album, Talking To Strangers, via Marti West Music. On the LP, listeners will find the nostalgic ballad 'Always'. The project brings classic acts like Simple Minds, Bon Iver, and The Tallest Man On Earth to mind.

His music has been backed by recognised publications such as Atwood Magazine, CLASH Magazine, Notion Magazine, Top40-Charts, EARMILK, Echoes And Dust, GAFFA magazine, and Indie Music Center. On air, his music has received spins on BBC Radio 1's Chillest Show as well as France Inter and Portugal Antena.

On Youtube, the songwriter has appeared on noteworthy channels alexrainbirdMusic, M O S T L Y strings, Wave Of Good Noise, and Indie Folk Central. His work has gained placements on Spotify editorial playlists Lost in the Woods, Cafe & Croissant, A Shot of Indie, Rustig & Mooi, and Indie Highlights, which has helped it reach over 10 million streams across platforms.

Marti West's album Talking To Strangers is comprised of 9 reflective records that circle a relatable theme: people come, and people go. Some leave an indelible imprint. Others, we wish to forget. Marti channels his feelings into records like 'Always', where he reminisces over the bittersweet facets of love.

Marti West shares: "'Talking To Strangers' is an album about a relationship that has broken down. From misery and denial in 'Somebody New', self-questioning in 'Always' and 'Out Of My Head', to acceptance in 'Most Of The Time', the songs portray a voice that is processing feelings of grief, depression, and isolation. There's drive and exuberance in the music though, and enough '80s synths and defiant drums to offer more than a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel."

Based in London, UK and born in Tuscany to a family of musicians, Anglo-Italian singer and songwriter Marti West has spent the last 6 years building a career through his bittersweet blend of introspective indie folk and ethereal harmonies. His 2016 debut EP Istanbul was followed by a UK tour, where he played some of the country's iconic indie venues like The Troubadour in Earl's Court and Bristol's The Fleece. He draws inspiration from The War On Drugs, Amanda Bergman, and Big Red Machine.
