Del Castillo's musical emphasis is placed on the sounds of Tejas (Texas) roots music and you can feel the steamy environment painted through the song's lyrics as it weaves the tale of "El Sombrero". "El Sombrero's" blend of fictionalized lyric and smartly crafted tones and sequences pulls the listener in. A blend of old world culture and new day instrumentation sets the backdrop with the lyrics attracting impulsive curiosity as natural as a moth to a flame. On the production side the recording occurred at Mark Del Castillo Studio (Buda, Tx) with the drums being recorded at Smilin Castle Studio (Kyle Tx). Mixing by Tim Palmer with mastering handled by Mark Del Castillo.
