New York, NY (Top40 Charts) EMMI IIDA is an internationally recognised Finnish visual artist, holistic interior architect & musician currently based in the countryside of Southern Finland. Set to release her new single, 'Blooming', on the 22nd of
September 2023 via EFG Records Oy, the song will be accompanied by a stunning music video filmed in the Peak District of England, produced by
Sebastian Luke-Virgo. The multi-faceted artist has hosted solo art exhibitions around the world, from Barcelona to Los Angeles and now seeks to translate her artistic prowess into her music, with 'Blooming' set as her first major official release. Accelerating her artistic momentum, the track has already gained support from notable tastemaker METAL Magazine.
Seeking to create and express in unlimited forms, she founded her own company EFG Productions Oy. Most recently, she has also founded EFG Records Oy, a record label focusing on bringing holistic wellbeing and union with healing frequencies.
Born in Hollola, Finland, Emmi Granlund began playing the piano at the age of 5. She spent her early school years in a musical elementary school, singing in a choir and in an acapella band, performing her first solo in front of a crowd at the age of 9. "My dad used to play guitar and sing for us, for me and my five little brothers when we were kids." says EMMI IIDA. This early exposure to music had her singing in front of the TV and making her own songs constantly, even when she was supposed to be asleep in her bed.
'Blooming' is a beautifully ambient track with an amazing atmosphere. And the music video is no different. Featuring peaceful panoramic shots of luscious landscapes and serene settings, it evokes a supernatural state of calm. With nature at the forefront, EMMI is seen performing the track amidst the visual eye-candy of her surroundings, with zoomed out aerial shots of her offering an epic and moving perspective for us to enjoy amidst the kaleidoscopic affair of natural colors. Alongside the effortless tranquility of the song, the aesthetic of the video is soothing and radiant, a visually meditative experience befitting of the track.
