New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Last month, 19 year-old country riser Austin Williams released his debut single "Wanna Be Saved" via Truth Or Dare Records. The song soared to the top 10 of iTunes all-genre and country charts, and it amassed more than 5 million streams in less than a month.
Today Williams shares a powerful new video for the track.
The Nashville native pays tribute to his hometown roots, filming the new video at the rare spot among Tennessee's historic surviving bridges — Old Stone Fort Bridge in Manchester, TN, which has recently been in danger of being torn down. Luminated only by his truck's headlights, Williams emotionally reflects on a downhill spiral as he fights on the front lines of an internal war.
"Wanna Be Saved" is the title track on Williams' debut EP (9.29). Listen to the full project here: ffm.to/aw-wannabesavedep
Williams also shared an acoustic version of the song on his 'All Out Acoustic Sessions' EP earlier this month, here: youtu.be/S0wQ8Rme1Ys?si=82TaAg_xAL-2elwu
Billboard called the song one of the best releases the week of its debut and praises Williams' "burly" vocals, noting his music falls in line with the rock-stoked, hip-hop infused works of mainstream country radio mainstays.
Williams will perform at the iconic Exit/In in Nashville on Weds., Nov. 1st. For more information, follow @austinwilliams_music on Instagram and TikTok.
