The Lemon Twigs Share Cheeky New Power-Pop Anthem For Living Up To One's Potential
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Lemon Twigs - New York's sibling duo beloved for their sophisticated pop, which aims to pick up where The Beach Boys left off - release "My Golden Years" on Captured Tracks, their first new release since their acclaimed 2023 LP, Everything Harmony. Named among Paste, The Guardian, Mojo, and Shindig's best albums of 2023 - and with "Any Time Of Day" as Anthony Fantano/The Needle Drop #1 most played song of the year — Everything Harmony was celebrated byPitchfork, CREEM, SPIN, Stereogum, GQ, and more, with Paste defining the brothers as "one of the hottest rock bands in America right now."

New single "My Golden Years" holds close the smooth harmonies of The Beach Boys, the energy and bombast of Raspberries, and shimmering 12 string textures of The Byrds — as the brothers describe it, "My Golden Years" is a power-pop anthem about "making every minute count and living up to your potential." They continue, joking that, "in that sense I think that people like Mark Ruffalo or people who hike might like the song. Or it could be good while you're working out."

The video for "My Golden Years" is just as cheeky: between sun-drenched shots filmed across LA, the band traverses through moments of mischief and open fields. Listen to and watch "My Golden Years" here:

Says director Ambar Navarro: "The "My Golden Years" video is about looking back at the good old days, and the highs and lows of trying to make it as a band. We wanted to incorporate situations like being broke and getting kicked out while being playful and humorous about it. When you're trying to make it as an artist there's this vulnerability of putting yourself out to constant rejection that can be tough, but the band finds their full peace and freedom in performing in an open field."

The band just completed a string of headlining shows across the West Coast, including a set at LA's Regent Theatre. Check out an all new performance video with Happy Mag to get a taste of the gentle rippers you missed live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAZs3s-0ELM
And stay tuned for much more in store for The Lemon Twigs this 2024.

"A cheery, Beach Boys-meets-Beatles-meets-Real Estate jangle-pop with some aching lyrical undertones."—Stereogum

"Takes the truism 'they don't write 'em like that anymore' as a direct challenge." —CREEM
"Compositions that are as timeless as they are perfect… Everything Harmony is the best thing the D'Addario brothers have ever made." —Paste
"Gorgeous display of harmonic unity." —FLOOD
"The Lemon Twigs are the kind of band that make you glad to be alive." —Shindig!
