Yuja Wang Wins Her First Grammy Award!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Winners of the 66th GRAMMY Awards were announced earlier today, and Deutsche Grammophon artist, pianist Yuja Wang was awarded in Best Classical Instrumental Solo - one of the leading classical categories - for The American Project, alongside conductor Teddy Abrams.

On collecting the award during the Premiere Ceremony, Teddy Abrams said: "A huge congratulations to the incredible Yuja Wang, who's soloed on this extraordinary album. Yuja is one of the most talented musicians on the face of the earth right now."

The GRAMMY, which recognizes outstanding artistic and technical achievement, stands as the record industry's highest accolade. "The whole team here at Deutsche Grammophon are thrilled about Yuja Wang's first Grammy success and we extend our warmest wishes and congratulations to her, " says Dr Clemens Trautmann, President Deutsche Grammophon. "We have collaborated with Yuja for more than a decade, and it's a particular joy and honour to see her work recognized by the Recording Academy."

"Yuja's performances on The American Project, including the world premiere recording of Teddy Abrams' Piano Concerto with the Louisville Orchestra, are truly exceptional in their virtuosity and genre-defying expressivity," Trautmann continues. "The inspirational musicianship of all Deutsche Grammophon artists, whether heard in great landmarks of the classical repertoire, thrilling new music or revelatory rediscoveries, speaks to people of all ages and backgrounds. I want to thank our artists and every member of the DG team for their dedication and unshakeable commitment to excellence in music," Trautmann concludes.
