Volume Five Receives Award Nominations From Two Separate Organizations
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Bluegrass band Volume Five has been recognized for their exceptional talents, receiving multiple award nominations from two separate music organizations. Firstly, Volume Five has been nominated for the Song of the Year from the Mississippi Music Awards for their soul-stirring track "What I Didn't Say," penned by Volume Five's band leader, lead vocalist, and fiddler, Glen Harrell from Booneville. The 8th Annual Mississippi Music Award Show, where the winners will be announced, is scheduled for May 24, 2024, at the Landers Center in Southhaven, MS. Tickets can be purchased at mississippimusicfoundation.org.

With over 75,000 entries received by The Josie Music Awards this year, Volume Five has once again proven their versatility and musical prowess. They have received four nominations, including Glen Harrell for Male Vocalist of the Year in the Bluegrass category and his second consecutive nomination for Musician of the Year for Fiddle. Jacob Burleson has also been recognized for his talent, receiving his second consecutive nomination for Musician of the Year for Guitar. In addition, Chris Wade has been nominated for Musician of the Year for Banjo. The winners will be announced at the 10th Annual Josie Music Awards Show on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn.

Volume Five is also celebrating their new single, "County Wishing Well," a heartfelt composition written by Josh Miller and released on Mountain Fever Records. This banjo-led tune offers a nostalgic glimpse into the past, serving as a symbolic source of rich memories. True to the spirit of bluegrass, the song combines jovial melodies with a bittersweet message, making it a perfect addition to any traditional playlist. The single features the exceptional talents of Volume Five members Glen Harrell on lead vocal and fiddle, Jacob Burleson on guitar and tenor vocal, Aaron Ramsey on mandolin and baritone vocal, Chris Wade on banjo, Jacob Eller on bass; with guest Jeff Partin on resophonic guitar.

Following their impressive performance at the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival last weekend, Volume Five is gearing up for a series of exciting events. On June 1, they will be gracing the stage at the Back Forty Bluegrass Festival in Curryville, MO, followed by a performance at Rudy Fest in Morehead, KY on June 15. The excitement continues with their appearance at the Susanville Bluegrass Festival in Susanville, CA on June 21-22. We are also thrilled to announce that Volume Five will be performing at numerous private events throughout the year.
