Paris. Bridges Vancouver And Toronto In New Music Video For "Take The Lead" With Roy Woods
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The rising hip-hop/R&B sensation PARIS. releases the official music video for his latest new single "Take The Lead" with OVO Sound artist Roy Woods via Partners Record Label and Universal Music. "Take The Lead" was released on June 21 and quickly became PARIS.' largest streaming debut to date, tallying over 200K first-week streams across platforms.

The video bridges Vancouver and Toronto, kicking off with shots of PARIS. and his crew stunting dirt bikes in front of the beautiful British Columbia background. Ahead of Roy Woods' verse, we make our way East with views of the CN Tower before PARIS. and Roy enjoy a dinner date with two special ladies.

The clip arrives after PARIS. and Roy made their live performance debut of the track earlier this month in Vancouver at Vesper Lounge following PARTYNEXTDOOR's show in the city.
"Take The Lead" marks the first collaboration between PARIS. and Roy Woods. It was self-engineered by PARIS., produced by waytoolost (Nasty C, NLE Choppa, Rylo Rodriguez), and mixed and mastered by Nick Niker.

PARIS. leads the track with swagger as he reps his home base of Burnaby and Vancouver and serenades a Toronto love interest, singing, "The way I'mma do it, said she gotta take off tomorrow." He continues, "With you, girl, I wanna chill and stay in / F-ck the club, I want that home love, girl, I'm a thug, I don't know love."

In his verse, Roy Woods flips the script as the Toronto-based artist swoons over a West Coast woman, singing, "She from Vancouver, shawty gon' f-ck on me, love on me, do what she want to me, keep me exclusive."

About the new release, PARIS. says, "This song bridges the gap between Toronto and Vancouver - that's what I love about it. It empowers both West Coast and East Coast women. Roy is such a respected and highly talented artist, so I'm happy we got to work together. He's so dope melodically and has crazy range. Our brands align well too, we're both for the girls. It made perfect sense for him to feature. Shout out to Roy, his team, and his management at OVO."

Roy Woods adds, "It was easy and fun to write this song with PARIS. The concept was dope to begin with, and PARIS. did a great job on his end to bring back a classic 2015-2016 vibe, so adding my unique touch was a simple task."

Last month, PARIS. performed at Sabaidee Fest in California, the largest annual Southeast Asian Music and Cultural festival in the United States.

PARIS. has also released singles "BNB" and "Me N Mines" with MBNel this year, prolifically sharing music across the entire first half of 2024. Stay tuned for more new music and announcements from the rising rap/R&B sensation in the coming weeks.

Synergizing the R&B/Hip-Hop genre in his own charismatic way, PARIS. is constantly drawn to the impulse of trying something new. "I'm always ready to go, always ready to try new things, which can be a great tool but also have its repercussions," he says on his quick-minded approach to music and life. With extensive roots in British Columbia drawn from his childhood and upbringing in Burnaby and Vancouver, PARIS. has spent a major part of his life excitedly strengthening his music, sports, and lyrical capabilities in an effort to drive his passions forward.

A current star on the rise with his latest single "Take The Lead" with Roy Woods having released in June 2024, PARIS. continues to garner media and audience-related hype across the country. Being recently featured in Etalk and RANGE Magazine, and performing at shows like California's Sabaidee Fest, watch for more as he continues to establish himself as one of 2024's up and coming Canadian artists.
