J Balvin Brings The Past, Present, And Future For The Ride On "Rayo"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) When J Balvin's father gifted him his first car, it was as though he was being handed the keys to his future - a future he sped forward to and never looked back. Now on J Balvin's latest album, Rayo (affectionately named after the car), Balvin takes us on as jaunt through his most personal offering yet - one in which he too looks forward to the future of music, inviting the next wave of Latin stars to join him all the way through.

Today, global superstar, J Balvin, unveils his 7th studio album, Rayo - a bold and electrifying addition to his discography that takes listeners on a nostalgic yet innovative journey to his musical roots. Inspired by the early days of making music, Rayo captures the youthful essence of Balvin's creativity and unfiltered passion. The album blends reggaeton with elements of electronic pop, dembow, Música Mexicana and urban sounds. The latest body of work is a testament to Balvin's enduring love for music and his ability to continually reinvent himself while staying true to his origins - delivering a fresh yet familiar vibe that resonates with both longtime fans and new listeners.

Just like Balvin's father handed him the keys to his future, on Rayo, Balvin hands the keys to the younger generation and gives flowers to the artists making giant waves, like on the new music video that released today for the track "Doblexxo" featuring Feid, in which Balvin and Ferxxo navigate a futuristic landscape meant to represent the genre's constant expansion forward. On "Gaga," he's joined by Spanish phenom SAIKO for an infectious electronic number that feels just as familiar as it is singular.

Also in its repertoire, Balvin's collaborations seamlessly shift between Música Mexicana icon Carin León on "Stoker," to recruiting global artists for "Gato" featuring Spanish star Bad Gyal. And it's in these genre-bending connections where we see Balvin's incessant need to pull those around him up - while at the same time basking in their energy and influence to create singular works that elevate Latin music to its next era.

With young, up-and-coming artists like Dei V, Quevedo, and Omar Courtz mingling on the tracks with legends like Chencho Corleone and Zion, Rayo is the embodiment of community, and listening through feels like a glimpse into what Balvin's ideal playlist would sound like. By tapping in with some of reggaeton's biggest hitmakers like Keityn, L.e.x.v.z., and DJ Luian, to enlisting the likes of Blessd, Luar La L, Ryan Castro, and YOVNGCHIMI, music's biggest names effortlessly vibe with tomorrow's superstars on Rayo.
