Tucker Wetmore Makes A Splash With Waves On A Sunset EP
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "At the forefront of country music's crop of newcomers" (Billboard), Tucker Wetmore makes his formal introduction today with his debut EP Waves on a Sunset, out now. Featuring eight tracks, five of which were co-written by Wetmore, Waves on a Sunset was aptly named after the singer-songwriter's favorite line 'waves on a sunset' from his life-changing single "Wind Up Missin' You." Wetmore celebrated the milestone release by hosting a surprise pop-up show for fans at Losers Bar & Grill in Nashville last night before kicking off his highly anticipated, sold-out headlining tour, Waves on a Sunset Tour 2024, tonight in Statesboro, Ga.

"This EP is the first time I'm getting to show you who I am in a body of work," shares Wetmore. "With so much I want to say, it's impossible to do in just eight songs. But by the end of this project, I hope you're excited to hear more because this is truly just the beginning. I'm beyond proud and thankful to everyone who helped make this possible - the writers, producers, my team, family, friends and especially the fans. This truly wouldn't be possible without all of you and above all, God.

Defining Wetmore's ultra-modern sound and the boundaries that it confidently pushes, Waves on a Sunset shines a spotlight on his songwriting prowess and ability to select the tracks that speak to his quickly growing fan base. The EP features four previously released songs and four new tracks, including "You, Honey," "Break First," "When I Ain't Lookin'" and "Mister Miss Her," showcasing the three sides of his current life: the heartbreaker, the heartbroken, and the head-over-heels romantic. All eight tracks back Country Central's proclamation that "everything he touches turns to gold." The Tennessean also stands strong in Wetmore's corner, saying, "Ultimately, he's succeeding because he's a quick study of modern tastes, naturally adept at toeing the line between country music, Western culture and global popularity."

The EP opens with Wetmore's latest release "Silverado Blue," which Holler praised for its "relatable lyricism and his ear for a killer melody." His breakout track "Wine Into Whiskey" follows, which turned heads as it debuted on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, bringing Forbes to say, "clearly he's off to a great start." The in-love side of the project can be seen in "You, Honey," before segueing into his follow-up Billboard Hot 100 single "Wind Up Missin' You." The "surefire hit" (Billboard) went on to become his first single at Country radio and is currently in the Top 20 and climbing. The second half of the EP features "Break First" where he explores inner conflict over an 1980's-inspired pulse. "When I Ain't Lookin'" celebrates life's unexpected blessings before the "achy breaky" (Seattle Times) "What Would You Do?." "Mister Miss Her" rounds out the EP with a raw, acoustic ballad that embraces heartbreak.

Only six months into his burgeoning career, the Kalama, Wash. native has already notched two RIAA GOLD certified tracks, was named Billboard's Rookie of the Month, made his Grand Ole Opry debut and was tapped as Spotify's RADAR artist. Barstool Sports asserts, "This guy is going to be a megastar. Get familiar with the name now." His debut EP Waves on a Sunset, out now, is set to further solidify his place as one of country music's compelling new voices.

Following his support slot on Luke Bryan's FARM TOUR 2024 and recent appearance supporting Cole Swindell at Red Rocks, Wetmore will launch his nearly sold-out headlining tour, Waves on a Sunset Tour 2024, today (10/4), kicking off in Statesboro, Ga. The highly anticipated tour, which marks Wetmore's first-ever headlining run, will hit 17 cities and feature direct support from Hannah McFarland, Eli Winders and Ashland Craft. Come 2025, Wetmore will join Thomas Rhett's BETTER IN BOOTS TOUR 2025 as direct support. Having notched back-to-back spots on Billboard's Hot 100 chart with his debut singles "Wine Into Whiskey" and "Wind Up Missin' You" and surpassing 400M streams in just six months, Washington-born singer-songwriter Tucker Wetmore is well on the way to becoming one of 2024's certified breakout country stars. Wetmore brought his music directly to the fans earlier this year on Kameron Marlowe's Strangers Tour, and recently wrapped his support slot on country superstar Luke Bryan's FARM TOUR 2024 before setting off on his highly anticipated headlining tour: Waves on a Sunset Tour 2024. Next summer, Wetmore will join Thomas Rhett as direct support on his 30-date BETTER IN BOOTS TOUR 2025. Wetmore is currently climbing the Country Airplay charts as he nears the Top 20 with his debut single, "Wind Up Missin' You." Named Billboard's May Country Rookie of the Month, Wetmore is carving a path of his own in the country world: the 24-year-old's songs reflect his cross-genre musical upbringing, embracing all manners of country, reggae, rock and hip-hop, albeit anchored by classic country storytelling.
"These past few months have been some of the craziest of my entire life. My entire life has changed. I can't really even put it into words," Wetmore says of his meteoric 2024.

Wetmore signed a major-label record deal this summer with UMG Nashville in partnership with Back Blocks Music, had two songs featured on the star-studded soundtrack of Twisters ("Already Had It" and "Steal My Thunder" (with Conner Smith)), made his Grand Ole Opry debut and now unveils his debut EP, Waves on a Sunset, out now.
"Everything's moving super swiftly," Wetmore says. "So just being happy is my goal. And giving myself time to sit back and think about all the blessings God has been giving me every time I open my eyes in the morning." Wetmore pauses and smiles. "Yup, it's safe to say I'm very blessed."
