Tony Ann Celebrates The First Anniversary Of "Emotions" With A Deluxe Version
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Throughout 2023, solo pianist virtuoso and global artist on the rise Tony Ann released his EMOTIONS EP Series. As a self-proclaimed harmony connoisseur, Ann is always thinking of ways to not only push the boundaries of neoclassical and instrumental music but also popular music. In November 2023, he dropped the EMOTIONALLY RED EP, which garnered nearly 28M streams, with the fan-favourite "DESIRE" receiving 15M streams alone. It also reeled-in critical acclaim from the likes of New Age Music Guide and more. Prior, Ann unveiled the EMOTIONALLY ORANGE EP. The project picked-up north of 11.5M streams. In March, he began the series with the EMOTIONALLY BLUE EP. Among many highlights, "LOST" popped off to the tune of 13.5M streams. In total, the EMOTIONS EP Series has amassed 73 million global streams and counting in addition to several billion views on social networks. Ann decided to merge his additional EP "Awakening" to this new deluxe version as it included his hit ICARUS: almost 1M creation on social and 41M streams. This new deluxe version also includes with three new tracks to celebrate its first anniversary.

This first record project was the beginning of a success story that is still going on in 2024. He started his first tour, and a worldwide one, this year that will continue in 2025. Each new single is correlated with the first three EPs colours.

REMINISCE: A bonus track from the EP "EMOTIONALLY BLUE", released as part of a deluxe version of his debut album "EMOTIONS", Ann continues his exploration of themes of self-reflection with melodies that dance between the hands. With steady arpeggios and a graceful motif, Ann's main theme reflects the very feeling of looking back on recollections and indulging in the joy of those memories.

NOSTALGIA: A bonus track from the EP "EMOTIONALLY ORANGE", released as part of a deluxe version of his debut album "EMOTIONS", this piece exudes a brighter tone like its counterparts in which the main theme gracefully weaves up and down to represent feeling sentimental. The use of neighbour tones in the main theme help reinforce a sense of tenderness whilst the development section explores a higher dynamic with fast arpeggios rising and falling like the feeling of being pulled into a dream.

WONDER: A bonus track from the EP "EMOTIONALLY RED", released as part of a deluxe version of his debut album "EMOTIONS", the piece opens with big leaps immediately taking the listener on a journey, creating a sense of awe and intrigue. The chords add to the sense of progression as well as a sense of the unfamiliar with a motif that continues to ascend with each note moving the music into new territories. The reprise of the riff sees the use of octaves to further highlight the sense of amazement.

Following stints at both Cleveland Institute of Music and Berklee College of Music, the classically trained solo pianist has consistently unveiled viral content at a prolific pace. His online imprint consists of nearly 6 million total followers, while he has generated several billion total views. Along the way, he has instituted fan favorite series such as "play that word" where viewers suggest words, and he crafts his own original compositions with letters on the keyboards.
A virtuoso by trade, Tony Ann is a solo pianist with big ideas. He fuses the styles of both the new and the old to breathtaking effect. As a self-proclaimed harmony connoisseur, Ann is always thinking of ways to not only push the boundaries of neoclassical and instrumental music but also popular music. While Ann may be limited to music without words he successfully uses all eighty eight keys to his advantage with original compositions steeped in emotion, technique and range.
Away from his solo work, Ann loves collaboration in which he has released tracks with Don Diablo, Wrabel and L.Dre showing his musical elasticity and willingness to immerse himself into different genres such as EDM, Lofi and Pop.
In addition, Ann has enjoyed working with The Chainsmokers, having a hand in co-writing both the platinum US singles 'Sick Boy' and 'Call You Mine (feat. Bebe Rexha)' as well as the gold US single 'Side Effects (feat. Emily Warren)'. Ann also had the pleasure of touring with them as their official keyboardist for their "Memories: Do Not Open" North American arena tour which also included performances on SNL and Good Morning America.
