New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Northern Ireland's viral sensation Gareth has had a whirlwind 2025 so far, announcing his publishing deal with BMG, releasing several singles via Walk Off Entertainment to critical-acclaim, and embarking on multiple North American and UK tours. Hot off the heels of his C2C London appearance, which included performances at Countryline, The Wayside, and BBC
Radio 2 Indigo Stages and an exclusive Apple Event. Additionally he interviewed with Absolute Country, Smooth Country, and BBC
Radio 1 with Jodi Bryant; one special performance saw Gareth bring his mom onstage at BBC 2 to dedicate the song, "Quiet in This House," which he had written for her. Gareth continues his upward trajectory and opens up on his EP Steal Your Thunder, and has garnered millions of views with this performance video on social media.
On the EP, Gareth reveals, "Steal Your
Thunder is an introduction of myself to the world. These songs are written and recorded with some of my best friends in both London and Nashville. It shares stories of my life, my family, and my recent move across the world. I am thankful for all the support and feel incredibly lucky to do this as a career. I hope you can connect with these songs and learn a little bit more about me as a person."
Born and raised in Castlederg, Northern Ireland, Gareth is gaining serious traction for blending his Irish roots with a love for country music and storytelling. From his start playing in Northern Ireland pubs for £50 a night, his breakthrough came in 2024 with his viral cover of "
Stick Season" by Noah Kahan, which amassed over 25 million views and 15 million streams. The buzz from that cover led to his projects Covers (From Across the Pond) and his debut original EP Changing Seasons, which together have garnered over 25 million streams and significant airplay on stations such as SiriusXM's The Highway and Absolute Country Radio. His rise has also seen him share stages with
Brett Young and The 502s, while earning him a loyal fanbase.
With his signing to BMG and his undeniable talent, Gareth is poised to leave a lasting mark on country music while honoring his roots and storytelling heritage and is heading back to his hometown this weekend to perform a surprise pop-up show at a local pub. Additionally Gareth will embark on a headlining UK tour this April/May and European tour with
Kip Moore this May/June.
