Sebastian, FL (MUSIC SERVICES) - Arlo Guthrie & Friends are continuing on the Amtrak City of New Orleans train route performing along the way to benefit the small venues in the train's namesake city that were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Arlo's picking up long time family friend Ramblin' Jack Elliot in Memphis and they're ridin' the CNO into New Orleans on December 15.

Arlo, initializing his plan to help rebuild the infrastructure by hiring Pyramid Audio Productions sound company from New Orleans for the entire tour, was happy to include their friend and songwriter, Jack Neilson on the shows.

Arlo, his son Abe with his band, Xavier, and daughter Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion, have five more concerts along the route of the Amtrak City of New Orleans train (CNO). Arlo's friends who will step aboard on the upcoming concerts, include Willie Nelson (New Orleans), Ramblin' Jack Elliot, Guy Davis, Ramsay Midwood, The Burns Sisters, Todd Snider, John Flynn, Jack Neilson, and Gordon Titcomb, riding on this 'southbound odyssey.'

'Passenger trains have always carried the music and the musicians to and from the delta, spreading the sound of the Crescent City to Memphis, Chicago and the world,' said William L. Crosbie, Amtrak Senior Vice President of Operations. 'We are honored to receive Arlo's request and excited about helping this important rebuilding effort with today's Amtrak City of New Orleans train.'
