NEW YORK, NY (KOCH Records) - Canadian superstars Sloan just announced that they will be performing with the Rolling Stones in Boston, MA, on January 13th & 15th. The shows are at the TD Banknorth Garden (formerly the Fleet Center). KOCH Records also announces the reissue of the classic Sloan album, "Between The Bridges." Previously released in 1999, "Between The Bridges" is considered to be Sloan's most ambitious record. It is Sloan's first concept album - telling the story of the band's journey out of Halifax, Canada, in a quest for rock stardom. Applying this context to the lyrics of each song exposes powerful messages that are seldom found in popular music today. Sloan - guitarist/vocalist Jay Ferguson, bassist/vocalist Chris Murphy, guitarist/vocalist Patrick Pentland and drummer/vocalist Andrew Scott - came together to form Sloan in Halifax, Nova Scotia, just a year prior to the release of their debut album, "Smeared." Sloan's ever-evolving brand of smart, hooky alternative rock - inspired by everyone from My Bloody Valentine, The Velvet Underground and The Beatles to AC/DC and Kiss - has amassed shelves of critical praise and one of indie rock's most devout followings, not to mention damn near state-hero status in their native land. The track listing for "Between The Bridges" is: 1. The N.S. 7. A Long Time Coming 2. So Beyond Me 8. Waiting for Slow Songs 3. Don't You Believe a Word 9. Losing California 4. Friendship 10. The Marquee and the Moon 5. Sensory Deprivation 11. Take Good Care of the Poor Boy 6. All By Ourselves 12. Delivering Maybes
