Los Gatos, CA (UMBRELLA PR) – Boffomedia, Inc., the parody entertainment company, today announced that their newly released Mother Goose Rocks! DVD has received the prestigious 'Video of the Year' award from Parenting Magazine. Viewed by a prestigious group of judges and members of the well-known 'mother-tested' panel, Mother Goose Rocks! has been heralded one of four best DVDs/videos of the year for ages 3 and up.

With a circulation of over 2 million subscribers, Parenting Magazine has said 'based on the CD series, these toons replay 20 classic nursery rhymes as sly MTV music-video spoofs. A catchy rendition of Wheels on the Bus by Mad Donna sounds like Ray of Light and ME2's Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes is a dead ringer for U2's Beautiful Day".

A new project stemming from the award-winning Mother Goose Rocks! music CDs, the DVD includes clever music videos in a top 20 countdown format from sound-a-like characters such as Dave Mathshoes (aka Dave Matthews), Stung (aka Sting), Mad Donna (aka Madonna), ME2 (aka U2), and Gwen Stuffunny (aka Gwen Stefani). These sound-a-like characters each sing a children's favorite nursery rhyme to what sounds like, today's pop music hit songs.

Parenting Magazine goes on to say "this is great fun for pre-schoolers and a great inside joke for their folks. Mother Goose Rocks! gets a nod for originality, a strong message, and humor -not just from our judges but also from moms and kids across the country."

Radio stations around the globe have begun featuring these clever tunes, leaving audiences clamoring for the children's music CD. Mother Goose Rocks! has also recently been featured on FOX television's NFL football broadcasts and at the Dallas Mavericks basketball games.

'The newly released DVD introduces children to a diverse and timely set of music genres like alternative rock, country, techno, pop and R&B, all with the safety of familiar G-rated children's lyrics,' explains Richard Snee, President of Boffomedia, and Mother Goose Rocks! executive producer. 'Parents who enjoy today's pop music, but wish to keep their children safe from the sophisticated language included in some of the hip songs, will find that Mother Goose Rocks! offers an excellent alternative.'

The Mother Goose Rocks! Top 20 Countdown DVD offers wholesome and entertaining music, and is available directly from www.mothergooserocks.com and through Amazon, Walmart.com, Best Buy, Borders, Barnes & Noble and specialty stores nationwide. The DVD is released through Lightyear Entertainment and distributed by WEA (Warner Elektra Atlantic).
