NASHVILLE, TN. (SONY BMG) - One week into the new year, and new Epic Records singer/songwriter
Jace Everett is taking on 2006 with a vengeance. Radio, television, internet, music video, dance clubs and touring are already in full swing. His self-titled debut album doesn't hit stores until March 7, but the complete digital version is already available for download on every major online outlet.
Jace wrapped up 2005 with a performance on the coveted 'AOL Sessions' – an opportunity usually reserved for established artists. AOL has also picked Jace as one of their 'Breakers' artists. His self-penned 'Bad Things' single was already catching on at radio, and the song is a dance floor hit at clubs across the country.
He kicked off 2006 performing 'Bad Things' on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and immediately headed to Las Vegas to make several appearances as part of the Sony Electronics presentation at the monstrous Consumer Electronics Show – the world's largest technology trade show with over 150,000 attendees.
'Bad Things' will be spotlighted as iTunes' 'Single of the Week' beginning Tuesday, January 10. Usually marked for A-list artists, Jace is the first Country artist ever to have a debut single picked for the feature. He will be highlighted on the iTunes main page and their newsletter, which is read by millions of subscribers. Adding to the online excitement, he is also among a select group of artists to be featured in Clear Channel online's "NEW!" program which spotlights some of the new and most exciting artists in music.
The music video for Jace's 'Bad Things' also hits CMT this week. The clip will start as the week's featured Wide Open video on the Top 20 Countdown on Thursday, January 12. The steamy video is currently in rotation at GAC and regional video outlets across the country.
Already a seasoned international performer, Jace will head to Europe next week as part of the Country Music Association's 'New From Nashville.' On Jan. 16, 2006 he and Dierks Bentley will perform at Whelan's in Dublin; on Jan. 17, 2006 they will perform at the Tron Theatre in Glasgow as part of the Celtic Connection; and on Jan. 19, 2006 they will showcase at the Carling Academy Islington, London.
