LOS ANGELES (Capitol Records) - Capitol recording group OK Go have unveiled plans to bring their inimitable brand of rock to America with an extensive new tour itinerary. The trek will see the combo from Chicago - whose irresistible single/video, "A Million Ways," became a national sensation last fall - dividing their time between headline dates and support slots with Motion City Soundtrack.

The tour will kick off on January 23rd, with a headline performance at Maxwell's in Hoboken, New Jersey. On February 16th, OK Go will meet up with Motion City Soundtrack at Milwaukee's the Rave for the first show of their month-long shared itinerary. The tour will travel North America through mid-March, culminating in a March 12th show at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida (see attached itinerary). OK Go will make a stop at ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 1 for a performance.

OK Go are currently in the midst of a sold out UK headline tour, but they kicked off what is sure to be an exciting 2006 with a New Year's Eve performance in New York City's Times Square. Just minutes before the ball dropped, the band heated up the 20-degree weather with a 3-song set on the Pontiac Garage stage, located atop the Times Square Olive Garden, four stories above more than 1.2 million New Year's Eve revelers. The set was broadcast live on 2 gigantic jumbotrons, and a portion aired as part of ESPN's New Year's Eve coverage." MSN.com also ran a live feed of the Times Square set and interviewed OK Go immediately following their set. OK Go was also included in ESPN's "Best of 2005" review. The most exhilarating sporting moments of the year were intercut with live footage of the OK Go, and set to "Invincible," the opening track of their new album, "OH NO."

"OH NO" debuted at No 1 on Billboard's "Heatseekers" chart, as did the band's 2002 self-titled debut. The album collects 13 manic (but melodic) rockers, soulful ballads, and riff-filled three-minute anthems, and shows OK Go stepping forward with a leaner, rawer, more focused sound. It was recorded late last year in Malmö, Sweden with producer Tore Johansson (Franz Ferdinand, the Cardigans). Dave Sardy, whose production credits include work with Oasis, Nine Inch Nails, and Jet, also joined the band in the studio.

The first single from the album, "A Million Ways," and its band-choreographed dance routine, gave OK Go unprecedented media exposure last year and earned the band performances on such high-profile TV programs as NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Last Call with Carson Daly, Fox's MAD TV, and ABC's Good Morning America. The band's homemade video of the dance - available at www.okgo.net/video.asp - first took the Internet by storm, with more than 3 million downloads and No 1 debuts on the MySpace and iFilm video charts. The clip's success then crossed over to traditional media, drawing airplay on Fuse (who awarded it "Best Dance Video 2005") and a variety of MTV channels. In addition, the inventive video garnered features from NPR's All Things Considered, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and VH-1's Best Week Week Ever, and it received mentions from Time, Entertainment Weekly, CNN.

The band is no strangers to such A-list media. Singer Damian Kulash recently published an Op-Ed piece in The New York Times ("Buy, Play, Trade, Repeat" 10/6/05) and has had pieces in Elle Girl, Car Magaizine (UK), and InRock (Japan).
