And MTV Overdrive to feature performances on demand, Online only Performances And Special Video Biographies

MTV: Music Television announced that MTV, MTV2 and MTV.com will present 'spankin" New Music Week Rocks" from Tuesday, January 17th through Friday, January 20th on "Total Request Live" at 3:30pm-4:30pm ET/PT. Hosted by MTV VJs Damien Fahey, Vanessa Minnillo, La La Vasquez and Susie Castillo, this week of special programming will celebrate the resurgence of rock music and offer music fans a preview of the best new music and new releases from the hottest artists in Rock. Scheduled to perform live on TRL will be Avenged Sevenfold, Yellowcard, Coheed & Cambria, P.O.D. and The Academy Is. Special guests will include The All-American Rejects, Fall Out Boy, Panic at The Disco, Hellogoodbye, Kate Beckinsale, Scott Speedman and more. TRL will also feature video premieres throughout the week from Foo Fighters, The All-American Rejects, P.O.D. and more.

MTV2 will kick off 'spankin" New Music Week Rocks" everyday at 10:30am ET/PT / 9:30am Central with new music specials including all new episodes of 'discover and Download Live," with performances by Panic At The Disco, Armor For Sleep, HIM and Hellogoodbye (winner of the 2005 Dew Circuit Breakout). Viewers will also be able to download music exclusively through MTV2.com from the same artists. Other special premieres include "The All-American Rejects: Makes A Video" on Wednesday, "P.O.D.: Makes A Video" on Thursday and "Avenged Sevenfold Live from San Diego" on Friday.

MTV2 will also feature daily "Unleashed" starting on Tuesday 1/17 with Foo Fighters, The All-American Rejects on Wednesday 1/18, P.O.D. on Thursday 1/19 and Panic At The Disco on Friday 1/20. In anticipation of 'spankin" New Music Week Rocks" Bam Margera will host T-Minus Rock all week long which repeats Tuesday 1/17 through Thursday 1/19 at 2am ET/PT. Plus Saturday's 1/21 Rock countdown at 7pm ET/PT will be a part of 'spankin" New Music Week Rocks" leading into a "HIM Live Concert Special" at 8pm ET/PT and "Bam Bangs" at 8:30pm ET/PT a half hour of the most slammin rocking videos including the latest HIM track hosted by BAM. At 11pm ET/PT catch a special 90 minute version of "Headbangers" at 11pm ET/PT and the "Mastodon DVD" Special at 11:30pm.

In celebration of 'spankin" New Music Week Rocks," MTV.com will feature exclusive ringtones, photo galleries, artists features and more. MTV's broadband video channel, MTV Overdrive will feature all of the week's performances on demand, including the full performances not seen on-air. Overdrive will also offer up special video biographies on many of the artists featured that week, additional MTV online only performances, music video premieres and more.
