LOS ANGELES (Vilalge Studios/ www.villagestudios.com) - With the release of their self-titled debut full-length album imminent, She Wants Revenge were at The Village in West L.A. to record a live session for local NPR station KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic" show, presented by influential DJ Nic Harcourt. Engineer on the session was Jason Wormer with Jesse Fredericks assisting. KCRW's Ariana Morgenstern produced the session. The L.A.-based electro-rock duo, featuring bass/keyboard player Adam 12 and front man/guitarist Justin Warfield, summon up the spirit of the early 1980s, when emerging U.K. post punk bands such as New Order first came under the influence of the New York art and dance club scene. She Wants Revenge's eponymous debut is released January 31 on Flawless/Geffen Records. Founded in 1968 by Geordie Hormel, The Village is a state-of-the-art, full-service recording complex housed in a Masonic Temple built in the roaring Twenties in West Los Angeles. The Village Recorder is famous for landmark sessions by Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, The Rolling Stones, Supertramp and Pink Floyd. The studio is also well known for its film score recording and commercial work.
