Kimmy, born in Pennsylvania, has been on the stage since she was three years old trying to sing
James Brown's "Say It Loud". At the age of ten ,she was the lead singer for her family group "Kearse" which consisted of her baby sister Karmentrina Schevelle and two brothers;
Kevin Scott and Keenan Wynn Kearse. They placed in many talent shows in the DC Metropolitan Area, to include but not limited to The District of Columbia Metropolitan Talent Show Case and the Maryland Metropolitan Talent Show Case. They sang together for 7 years. Back when she was taken to rehearsals with her mother, who was the lead singer of a foursome group. Kimmy grew up with music influences from Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle and the Blue Belles, Gladys Knight and the Pips,

Stephanie Mills, Anita Baker, Earth Wind and Fire, The Staple Singers, The Isley Brothers, Dianna Ross and the Supremes and the Jackson Five. She attended Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri for three years as a music major.
Kearse is also a founding member of the R&B Trio Kimmy and Klass?. With Johnita Wilson-Dillard and Gwen Wortham, Kimmy has thrilled audiences with their prowess in singing and stage presence. They plan to tour this spring higlighted by a Jamboree by the Lake comcert in Winchester, Tennessee and a 12 day concert stretch on a Greek cruise ship.
