NEW YORK (By Gi Dussault, Creativity in Music/ www.creativityinmusic.com) - From the time when she was wowing audiences at the Apollo Theater in the late 80s singing Patti LaBelle's "You Are My Friend" to her new solo CD "I Give You Me" , Kimmy Kearse has set a standard of excellence in singing and songwriting. "I Give You Me" has already drawn rave reviews and extensive radio airplay. One listener D. Stephens says, "If you like ballads that sound great, clean, and soulful, check out this CD." Kimmy Kearse shines with her own voice with elements in her stylings of Anita Baker, Mary J. Blige and the late Billie Holiday. She is the writer / arranger for all of the selections on the new solo CD. The CD is available at www.kimmyandklasse.com and www.cdbaby.com/kimmykearse.

Kimmy, born in Pennsylvania, has been on the stage since she was three years old trying to sing James Brown's "Say It Loud". At the age of ten ,she was the lead singer for her family group "Kearse" which consisted of her baby sister Karmentrina Schevelle and two brothers; Kevin Scott and Keenan Wynn Kearse.
