NASHVILLE, TN (Lyric Street Records) - Multi-platinum selling group and Grammy nominees Rascal Flatts will release their fourth album, Me and My Gang, on Lyric Street Records on April 4, 2006.
Recorded in Nashville, TN, the album is co-produced by Rascal Flatts and Dann Huff. The first single, 'What Hurts The Most,' written by veteran hit-maker Jeffrey Steele and Steve Robson, debuted at radio with a career-high chart position, currently at No 13 R&R -with its third straight week as greatest gainer- and No 15 Billboard, both in just 3 weeks.

'With every album you record, you hope that you've grown as an entertainer and musician,' says bassist and vocalist DeMarcus. 'We've waited to share this music for a while now. I think our fans will hear more of what they are used to from us, but I also feel we've stretched our wings just a bit as well.'

The majority of the album was recorded in the spring and summer of 2005 but public demand for a 4th single, 'Skin (Sarabeth),' off current album Feels Like Today pushed Me and My Gang to the spring 2006 release date. DeMarcus once again played bass on the album and guitarist Joe Don Rooney played each guitar part on the entire album.

In 2005, Rascal Flatts were re-crowned ACM, ASCAP, CMA and CMT Vocal Group of the Year. They were also named Billboard and Radio & Records Artists of the Year and Break-Through Touring Act at the Billboard Touring Awards for performing their 'Here's To You Tour' for 750,000 fans in 70 U.S. cities (besting out contender Coldplay). Rascal Flatts also took home the Radio Music Award trophy for 'Bless The Broken Road' as Country Song of The Year and received their first Grammy nomination. As 2005 wrapped, their third album, Feels Like Today, became the best selling country album of the year and aside from the constant buzz created by album sales, radio play, touring and the slew of awards they've collected, Rascal Flatts made a point to share their successes with a $600,000 donation from concert proceeds to Nashville's Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

Rascal Flatts three previous albums Rascal Flatts (2000), Melt (2002) and Feels Like Today (2004) have collectively sold over 8 million copies with an additional 1 million in sales of their dvd 'Rascal Flatts LIVE.' Feels Like Today¸ which includes the title-track hit as well as 'Fast Cars & Freedom,' 'Skin (Sarabeth)' and 'Bless The Broken Road,' has remained in the Top 10 on the album chart since its release 67 weeks ago in the Fall of 2004. In has only spent 9 weeks out of the 67 weeks outside of the Top 5.
