NEW YORK, NY (KOCH Records) - Psychedelic Furs frontman Richard Butler is preparing to hit the road for a thirteen city North American tour to coincide with the release of his upcoming, self-titled solo album. The confirmed dates kickoff in Chicago on March 20th and will include stops in New York City, Seattle, Toronto and Los Angeles before wrapping up in San Diego on April 8th. Butler is supporting his debut solo effort titled "Richard Butler," which is scheduled to be released on April 18th. It is his first venture into the studio since Love Spit Love's "Trysome Eatone" in 1997. Although he remains committed to his ongoing work with the Psychedelic Furs, Butler's equally excited to embark on this tour. "I like the idea of going out and doing something more personal and intimate, with maybe just one or two other musicians," he states. "I've never done that, and it's great to have that challenge, instead of having a loud rock band to take the pressure off me."
