BRIGHTON, UK (www.myspace.com/eveningsempire) - "Evening's
Empire are an exiting new Rock band based around Brighton. With their original mix of
Thin Lizzy style guitar solos and a Beatlesque experimental style of writing Evening's
Empire bring back good old rock n roll in an excitingly refreshing and unheard way. Formed in late 2005, Evening's
Empire consisted of a mixture of artists in their own rights who would create a perfect mix. With Dan on Guitar, providing incredible talent and a tight rhythm guitar, there seems to be a hint of the old fashioned guitar rock heroes from the 70s. His influences being Thin Lizzy,
Bob Dylan and Lynyrd Skynyrd, he was not only a brilliant songwriter but also had fantastic knowledge of live performance and a good sound. Currently studying at BIMM, Dan is constantly challenging the rest of the band to take one step further to excite fans.
Ben Rogers bought to Evening's
Empire an incredibly diverse song writing ability, previously a solo artist, Ben had the skills needed to give the songs the edge which they required. With Influences such as
Elton John and The Beatles, Ben was always interested in bringing new sounds to the audience. His piano playing skills compliment the guitar perfectly, and his co-writing is fantastic.
Also studying at BIMM, Ben also has the skills to perfect a song and achieve a very high quality live set. Dr. Proctor, classically trained brings another interesting perspective to the band. With a wide musical knowledge, both classically and commercially, Andrew is always bringing clever suggestions to the forefront of the band, adding interesting subtleties whilst keeping the music 'listenable'.
Providing often melodious, solid bass lines, he keeps the band the tightest sound possible. Mark was the last to join the band, after helping with a demo Evening's Empire were recording, Evening's Empire knew that he was the one for them! Mark is an incredibly solid drummer, and the playing between Mark and Andy instantly mixed. Being primarily a funk player, Mark brings an interesting flare to the sound of the band, but being open enough to experiment with different sounds, skills which BIMM has helped him develop"
