Williamsville, N.Y. (Concordia Choir) - The renowned Concordia Choir of Concordia College from Moorhead, Minnesota, comes to the Buffalo area for a vocally dynamic choral music concert Sunday, February 26, at Randall Baptist Church, 6301 Main St., in Williamsville, New York, a suburb of Buffalo. The event, which is free and open to the public, starts at 7pm. About 800 seats are available to see this legendary group of young people, so bring your friends and family, and come early for the best seats.

Sponsored by Randall Baptist Church and The Eric Arnold Memorial Concert Series, the Concordia Choir will feature compositions by William Byrd, Eric Whitacre, Knut Nystedt, René Clausen and others.

Under the direction of well-known conductor and composer Dr. René Clausen, the choir will present a set of Renaissance motets, a set entitled "A Lenten Mosaic," and a third set entitled "A Journey Into Imagination," as well as familiar hymns, folksongs and spirituals.

The Buffalo area is fortunate to host a Concordia Choir concert, as the group enjoys a two-week winter tour performing in several states, including a stop at the prestigious Alice Tulley Hall at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.

Reviewers have praised the Concordia Choir as "a perfect example of how beautiful choral music can be when sung with both precision and heart." The Concordia Choir is widely regarded as one of the world's premier undergraduate vocal ensembles touring the world today. The Choir, under the direction of Dr. Clausen, continues to affirm its reputation as a leader in interpreting and advancing the Lutheran choral tradition that dates back to its beginning in 1920.
