'NSync has sealed in at least two dates for an upcoming spring tour, full details of which are expected from Jive Records any day now.
Thus far, dates are confirmed for March 10 at the Sports Arena in San Diego and March 11 at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, Calif., according to a source at Clear Channel Entertainment, which is promoting the shows.
As previously reported, the boys will also perform as part of the Hallmark Olympic Celebration Series at the Olympic Medals Plaza in Salt Lake City on Feb. 23�as well as the Olympic Winter Games Closing Ceremony at Salt Lake's Rice-Eccles Stadium on Feb. 24.
As for the Olympics' opening ceremonies on Feb. 8, also at Rice-Eccles Stadium, Sting has signed on to perform with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Additional performers include the Dixie Chicks, LeAnn Rimes, Robbie Robertson, Rita Coolidge, Yo-Yo Ma, Eclipse, and Utah's Desert String Band.
Meanwhile, 'NSync is scheduled to perform its current single, "Girlfriend," at the 44th Annual GRAMMY Awards with a special guest, according to the group's official Web site (www.nsync.com). That guest is rumored to be rapper Nelly, although Jive Records would not confirm that at press time.
As previously reported, U2 and Alicia Keys will also perform at the GRAMMY Awards on Feb. 27, while Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, and Diana Krall have been announced as presenters.
