NASHVILLE, TN (Trace Adkins Official Website) - Trace Adkins has finally been able to slow down long enough to celebrate with friends and family the Platinum® certification of Songs About Me - his second album in the span of 11 months to be certified Platinum®. The Recording Industry Association of America certified Songs About Me Platinum® in December 2005, just 11 months after his album "Comin' On Strong" was certified Platinum® in January 2005.

His smash hit "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," the third single from Songs About Me – released March 22, 2005, has taken hold and propelled his scans to exceed far beyond 1 million and continues to climb. The sales expand beyond actual albums but to Ring tunes sales and iTunes downloads. "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" has sold 75,000 ring tunes over the last six weeks which is rare for a country track as country music accounts for only 3% of the ring tune market compared to 70% for urban and hip/hop.

"Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" went for adds at radio on September 26, 2005 and the sales of the album Songs About Me increased for the next 15 straight weeks culminating Christmas week with 134,157 albums sold in that week (over double the sales for its debut week). Adkins outsold – without the exposure on the Grammy Awards - artists like Madonna, U2, Kanye West, Gorillaz, Green Day and Coldplay who performed on the Grammy Awards.

Some highlights of "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" include:
