NEW YORK, NY (Trustkill Records) - Wales, U.K.'s own Bullet for My
Valentine have invaded U.S. shores with the release of their full-length album The
Poison on Trustkill Records last week. The album scanned over 10,000 copies and has made a major dent on Billboard debuting at No 1 for Heatseekers, Alternative New Artist and debuting at No 127 on Billboard's Top 200 charts. The group's video for the song "Suffocating Under The Words Of Sorrow" has also been spinning on Stephen's Untitled Rock Show on Fuse TV and Headbangers Ball on MTV2.
Press accolades have been flying in furiously as well including the "Under The Radar" spotlight in the current issue of Penthouse Magazine, Alternative Press's "Bands You Need To Know" issue, "Artist To Watch" in Revolver and a news feature on MTV.com's "Metal File."
The band who will be embarking on their second ever U.S. tour supporting Rob Zombie and Lacuna Coil this spring play a brand of dark, melodic rock, with twin guitar fury and high speed metal chops. Their unique style was crafted on their home shores of Wales, with influences like Metallica, and Iron Maiden in the mix. The group is so noted for their guitar skills that both Guitar World and Guitar One magazine have tipped their hats with coverage to Matt Tuck (vocals/guitar) and Padge (guitar) in new issues.
The band's debut EP Hand Of Blood crept in like a silent killer in our shores being released in November and having scanned over 2,000 copies a week (over 30,000+ currently).
In the band's homeland, Bullet fever is at such a high that Hawthorne Heights was opening up for them on the recent sold out Kerrang tour. Bullet has scored multiple covers of Metal Hammer and Kerrang magazine in the past year, being named Album of the year 2005 by Kerrang as well. The record also is riding high on the airwaves in the UK where it debuted at No 1 at rock radio.
