TORONTO, Ca. (Canadian Press) - The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced today that award-winning producer Daniel Lanois and Toronto promoter Michael Cohl will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during the 2002 Juno Awards, in April.

"Of course, I am delighted and flattered to have been chosen for this honor - and the curious side of me can't wait to get to St. John's," said Lanois, who was recently nominated for two Grammy Awards (Album of the Year, Record of the Year) for his work on U2's "All That You Can't Leave Behind."
