NASHVILLE, TN. (Broken Bow Records) - Broken Bow Records'
Jason Aldean and Sony Nashville singer/songwriter
Miranda Lambert have joined forces to co-headline a string of concert dates this spring as part of their "Country Gone Wild" tour. The two GOLD certified artists are both headed towards PLATINUM for their debut releases and both celebrated ACM nominations for "Top New Male Vocalist" and "Top New Female Vocalist", respectively, last week.
"I hate to use a clich? but it really is an honor to see your name on the list of ACM nominees with so many amazing artists that you've been a fan of and admired for years. The "new kids" like me and Jason are honored just to be among them," says Lambert.
Two thousand and six couldn't be any hotter for Lambert. Her hit single Kerosene broke Billboard's Top 20 and collected three CMT Award Nominations including Female Video of the Year, Breakthrough Video of the Year and Trey Fanjoy for Video Director of the Year. She was also spotlighted in a steamy four-page feature in Blender magazine and has been opening sold out arena shows for country music superstar George Strait
Aldean's star is on a similar rise with a Top 10 single and No. 1 video under his belt for "Hicktown," and his current single "Why" blasting up the charts to No. 13 this week. Aldean was also honored to make the first-round nominees for the 2006 CMT Music Awards for Breakthrough Video of the Year with "Hicktown" and is scheduled to perform at the CMT Award pre-show block party on April 10. Aldean has been burning up the asphalt this winter as an opening act for Grammy-award winning group Rascal Flatts.
"Playing to sold out arenas on the Flatts tour has been a wild experience and has really helped me polish up my live show," says Aldean. "I'm looking forward to getting out on the road with Miranda because I think our fans are real similar. They like to have a good time and we're going to show them one!"
