BURBANK, CA (Warner Bros. Records) - To officially announce their upcoming headlining summer tour, Taking Back Sunday partnered with everyone's No 1 friend, MySpace's Tom Anderson. Anderson personally sent a bulletin to the site's entire database of over 60 million users yesterday alerting them of the band's summer touring plans, and of the band's starring role in the launch of a new performance-based show called The List (www.myspace.com/thelist). The tour, a 28 city tour run with additional acts Angels & Airwaves and Head Automatica, will kick off on June 22nd in Jackson, NJ and stop in various cities from coast to coast (dates to follow). The band is currently traversing the US on a SOLD OUT tour in advance of their highly anticipated album, Louder Now, due April 25th on Warner Bros. Records.

With Louder Now, Taking Back Sunday's Adam Lazzara (vocals), Fred Mascherino (Guitar/Vocals), Eddie Reyes (Guitar), Matt Rubano (Bass) and Mark O'Connell (Drums), were intent on capturing the intensity generated during their explosive live performances. Those unpredictable, no-holds-barred shows won the band a devoted following. Early praises in Kerrang! not only declare Louder Now as a "mammoth rock beast of an album," but go on to hail it as "the best of 2006 so far, and one that will give your goosebumps goosebumps." Alternative Press called the album "one of the most anticipated albums of 2006," and the band will be featured on the cover of the June issue, hitting the streets the first week of May.

The first single and video from Louder Now, the volatile rocker "MakeDamnSure," is currently in the Elite 8 rotation on MTV2 and has just been added to MTV. It premiered with Unleashed (all day) premiere on MTV2, as well as a Triple Channel Leak on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU, starting April 18th. On May 1st, Taking Back Sunday will be the featured band in MTV's 10 Spot Drop. "MakeDamnSure" premiered on Fuse's The Daily Download and is in heavy rotation on the channel. The band will play the 7th Ave Drop at the Fuse Studios the week of release and will also be live on Daily Download the day of release. On May 3rd, the band will perform "MakeDamnSure" on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, followed by Jimmy Kimmel Live on May 12th.
