Mableton, GA (Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre PR) - From a "garage band," to a world-famous headliner, Kansas has grown over four decades to be an ever-present force in the classic rock world and this May, they will kick-off the summer concert series at Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre.

With their upcoming combination CD/DVD release, Works in Progess, scheduled to be released on May 23, 2006, Kansas gives fans a memorable collection of their music over the last ten years accompanied by home video from their live performances originally featured on Live at the Whiskey and Device, Voice, Drum, and other shows.

Show attendees are guaranteed to feel nostalgic with the celebrated progressive rock sound that founding drummer Phil Ehart, original keyboardist and lead vocalist Steve Walsh, original lead and acoustic guitarist Richard Williams, current bass player and vocalist Billy Greer, and current violinist and vocalist David Ragsdale continually rework to reach new levels of adventurous sound. "I like to think of Kansas as an ongoing musical experiment that's constantly full of surprises," says founding drummer Phil Ehart.

Entering their fourth decade as a band, Kansas continues to 'carry on'. Don't pass up your chance to rock with them and their hits "Dust in the Wind," "Point of Know Return," and "Carry on Wayward Son."
