HOUSTON, TEXAS (By Heba Kadry/ SugarHill Recording Studios) -
Houston native and music legend Johnny Nash made a long awaited return to music after a spotlight hiatus, at SugarHill Recording Studios.
Johnny Nashs 1972 hit I Can See Clearly Now topped the billboard charts for 4 weeks and continues to receive international radio airplay; it was successfully covered by Jimmy Cliff in 1994.
Nash has also collaborated with many prominent artists throughout his career including the King of Reggae Bob Marley, who wrote the chart-topping hit for Nash, Stir It Up in 1972.
Nash has been working with SugarHills Chief Engineer Andy Bradley in SugarHill's Studio A, where they have already mixed one song and are in the process of transferring songs previously tracked between the late 70s to early 80s, from 2 analog tape to Protools.
Chief Engineer Andy Bradley is a world-renowned engineer, and has worked with many legends that have passed through SugarHill's doors, including Roy Head, Radio Birdman, Smash Mouth, James Burton, Guitar Shorty, Sonny West and John Pickering (Buddy Holly songwriter and backup singer), Arnett Cobb and Calvin Owens.
Its such a privilege to work with Johnny, hes an astounding singer and possibly one of the best male vocalists Ive ever worked with, commented Bradley on his working experience with Nash.
