NASHVILLE, TN. (Lucie Diamond Official Website) - European Country Star, LUCIE DIAMOND, will add an extra sparkle to
Music City as she comes to Nashville, TN from May 17th through June 1. Lucie Diamond, whose music is heard in over 60 countries, has scheduled performances, media interviews and record label meetings all arranged for her first visit, as well as a few must-see stops.
Currently, Diamond's smash single, 'Did He Mention My Name,' a collaboration with the rockabilly stars The Jets, has held the number 1 spot on the European CMA Chart for 5 consecutive weeks. She's also got the number two 2 spot with her previous single, a duet with Norway's top male country star, Arly Karlsen, singing the classic hit for both Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson,' Always On My Mind.'
Lucie Diamond is the very first British country artist to ever have 2 consecutive number 1 singles in the ECMA chart. But breaking records is something that Lucie Diamond is used to. Besides 2 consecutive number 1 singles, she's had a number 2 and number 5 in the main European chart, adding up to 4 hit singles in 12 months, which is unprecedented. In fact her debut single back in January 2005 set a record for 10 consecutive weeks at No 1 in the British country chart. That single had none other than the Grammy-winning guitar legend Albert Lee adding to its magic. Lee has been a big supporter of Diamond's music and has had a part in the recording of her album, Sweet Medicine.
With all of Lucie Diamond's impressive European accolades, plus 5 nominations in the Annual European Country Music Awards, she is ready to bring her talents to music executives and industry veterans here in Music City, U.S. A. While in Nashville, Lucie will meet up with various stars she has met on her shows and trips to Denmark, Norway, and Berlin and around the UK. She also has co-writes with notable songwriters - including the writer Joie Scott who co-penned, 'Shoes,' a track for Shania Twain on the "Desperate Housewives" soundtrack CD. Lucie will have several performances including an appearance at the world famous Bluebird Café.
