NASHVILLE, TN. (Josh Gracin Official Website) - Josh Gracin was one of only two new artists, along with Gretchen Wilson, to have three consecutive top five singles in 2005. He was also one of only two new male performers that had his debut album go Gold last year. Now, with the release of his latest single 'Favorite State of Mind,' an infectious up-tempo track, it seems as though Josh is at it again. The song, the first single from his forthcoming album slated for release this summer on Lyric Street Records, is not only quickly climbing the charts, already slamming into the Top 30, but its accompanying video has just been added to both CMT and GAC. "We decided to make this song our first single because it's so in your face," Josh said. "It's fun, it's fast and it's the type of song that I love to do. I'm glad that my fans can just kick back and enjoy. Sometimes that's what music should be about.' The video, which can be seen now on both CMT and GAC, was directed by Roman White and was shot in the Las Vegas desert during an unexpected cold snap. 'It must have been thirty degrees out, but everyone involved in the shoot toughed it out,' said Josh. 'We had so much fun making the video and I'm glad Roman captured that.' 'Favorite State of Mind' was written by Marcel Chanon, who also wrote Gracin's No 1 hit single 'Nothin' to Lose.' 'The song's about being away from the one you love," said Josh. "But no matter where you are and no matter where they are, they're still your favorite state of mind.'
