NEW YORK (Thunderbox Records/KOCH/ www.stuttermusic.com) - Stutter is fast cars, roller rinks, and dirty magazines. Like Blondie dry-humping Gwen Stefani in the back of Billy Idol's car, "Stutter delivers bustling beats, feisty guitars and sassy synth" – Kweevak.com

Stutter is a band that seems to be gaining momentum by the minute. But that should be expected when five musicians come along and combine rock, pop, new wave, and dance to create a sound as explosively fresh as this. Imagine a musical palette that includes Blondie, the Killers, Roxette, The Cars, Republica, Duran Duran, No Doubt, Devo, INXS, the Cure, David Bowie, the Smiths, Garbage, the GoGos, and Elvis Costello, and you'll start to understand. But really, you just need to hear it.

Recently released by Thunderbox Records/KOCH, the band's highly anticipated self-titled debut full-length was produced by Alex Greggs (N' Sync, Britney Spears) and mixed by Rich Chykci (Pink, Simple Plan, Aerosmith). It's already spawned the hit single, "Twenty-One," which was named to the "Hitlist Top 100 for 2005" at Galaxie (Canada's most popular satellite station) and has been supported by a music video in rotation on MuchMusic.

Stutter (singer/guitarist MO, bassist Dom, drummer Marty, keyboardist Linz, and guitarist Jol) also has a reputation for putting on an intense live show, having recently wrapped up a successful national tour of Canada and currently scheduling a string of dates that will keep them busy for most of the summer. And they certainly seem to be gaining new fans with each step they take. The band's MySpace site has been welcoming 60 to 100 fans every day since its launch, and as a testament to the band's rocketing popularity, it has already earned endorsements from the high-end California eyewear company Eyestyle .

But Stutter has no plans to slow down anytime soon. They are putting together a publicity campaign that will help spread the word beyond their home country of Canada and will be making their US debut at Arlenes Grocery in New York City, June 28 at 8pm.

Stutter's self-titled debut is available at online retailers such amazon and itunes. For more information, visit the band's Web site at www.stuttermusic.com, or visit the band's MySpace site at www.myspace.com/stutterpop.
