Emerson, NJ (DIGITALSOUNDBOARD, INC) - DigitalSoundboard.net, a leading online music download stores selling live performance recordings via downloads, today announced that the company has released recordings from select late night sessions during Jazzfest 2006. The new releases feature the following Artists; Bonerama with Leo Nocentelli, The New Orleans Allstars, two Trio sessions – one from the Maple Leaf and another recorded at Le Bon Temp Roule, the third annual Jamakazi, MG5 (formerly Frequinox), Porter-Batiste-Stoltz with Skerik, Big Sam's Funky Nation, Papa Mali, The Stanton Moore Trio, Walter 'Wolfman' Washington, Runnin' Pardners, and more.

This collection of recordings features a who's who of local New Orleans musical talent including: George Porter Jr. of The Meters and Funky Meters, Russell Batiste and Brian Stoltz of The Funky Meters, Ian and Ivan Neville, Stanton Moore of Galactic, Robert Walter of the Greyboy Allstars and numerous side projects (recently toured with the Steve Kimock Band), Theresa Andersson, drummer Johnny Vidacovich, trombone players Mark Mullins and Craig Klein from Harry Connick Jr's band, guitar impresario June Yamagishi, singer Leslie Smith, New Orleans honorable Walter 'Wolfman' Washington, and many more.

Each year for the past thirty-seven years New Orleans has been host to the Jazz & Heritage Festival in late April - early May and 2006 marks the first year DigitalSoundboard.net has engaged in late night recording of performances that happen outside of the Fair Grounds Race Track and in the clubs of New Orleans during Jazzfest 2006. Once the gates close at the Fair Grounds each evening, the New Orleans night heats up with Bands performing at various hot spots around town.

Dave Morrison, Co-founder of DigitalSoundboard.net said 'DigitalSoundboard.net is proud to do our part in a post-Katrina world for the New Orleans musicians and provide them a platform where their performances can be heard by a global audience. This project brought us to such notable New Orleans hotspots as The Howlin Wolf, Southport Hall, The Maple Leaf, D.B.A, Le Bon Temps Roule, and Preservation Hall.' Morrison adds, 'We want to World to know while a daunting amount of work still needs to be done in New Orleans, the music scene, which is part of the New Orleans DNA, is very much alive in New Orleans.'

The purchases of these select sessions will go a long way in helping the New Orleans based musicians featured in DigitalSoundboard.net's NOLA Late Nite Sessions presentation in their time of need. Proceeds from these recording will go directly to the Artists. Morrison adds, 'While in new Orleans for Jazzfest, we witnessed first hand the destruction of New Orleans. While the French Quarter and Uptown areas have bounced back in rapid fashion, many other parts of the City are still very much closed for business. Pictures in newspapers and magazines and the footage on television do little in presenting how widespread the destruction in New Orleans truly is. It will be years before some semblance of normalcy will be enjoyed in the residential neighborhoods of New Orleans. Your support of the New Orleans music scene is appreciated by all involved with this project.'

In addition to the full length live performance recordings available for purchase as downloads and via mail order, DigitalSoundboard.net has released for free select tracks from each recording via their Podcast service. Morrison adds 'DigitalSoundboard.net will offer free streams of select sessions in the coming weeks.'
