NASHVILLE, TN (Vector Management) - It is with great disappointment that legendary rock outfit Lynyrd Skynyrd announce further changes in their touring plans. Johnny Van Zant is currently undergoing emergency surgery to have his appendix removed at Stanford Medical Center. His post-operative rehabilitation will prevent him from performing for the next 7 days.

The following Lynyrd Skynyrd performances have been canceled:
May 19; Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA
May 20; Miltary Show in 29 Palms, CA
May 21; Sunset Station Casino in Henderson, NV

One of the hardest working groups in music today, Lynyrd Skynyrd is one of the latest members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and continuing to perform hundreds of shows each year. In 2005, the band performed on the 47th annual Grammy Awards, the CMT Super Bowl Kickoff show, the American Idol Season Finale.
