LOS ANGELES, CA (Strong House Records) - The 10th Annual Justo's Mixtape Awards will be kicking off on June 15th in New York City this year with scores of celebrities, Fortune 500 companies, and, of course, DJs in attendance. Among them will be both DJ Strong and DJ Warrior of the "Cali Untouchable DJs," who have been nominated for five categories this year. Fresh off the buzz surrounding his newest mixtape on MTV's "Mixtape Monday," DJ Warrior will be going for his 3rd straight "Best West Coast DJ" title, hoping to pick up a couple more while he's at it. Nominations have been made by industry executives, but it will be up to the fans to vote for their favorite DJs.

The Mixtape Awards serves as the lasting legacy of the late Orpheous "Justo" Faison, a fifteen year promotions and marketing veteran. Since DJs and their mixtapes have become a force in the world of marketing and branding, the Mixtape Awards is designed to honor them for their accolades in front of thousands of artists and millions of listeners. The award ceremony attracts Hollywood A-lists as well as industry executives like Kevin Liles of the Warner Music Group, P. Diddy, and Rob Stone of Fader Magazine. As if that isn't enough to get extensive coverage from the likes of The New York Times and MTV, the stars of the ceremony like DJ Warrior, DJ Strong, Kay Slay, Big Mike, Clinton Sparks, Green Lantern, Red Alert, Tony Touch, Whoo Kid, and the "Cali Untouchable DJs" will be in attendance.

DJ Warrior and DJ Strong will be in competition for the five categories they will be in the running for. "Best West Coast Mixtape DJ," "Best Mixtape DJ," and "Best Hip-Hop DJ" are the individual categories they will be competing in, while they will hope to win the categories of "Best Mixtape Duo" and "Best Mixtape Team" under their imprint, "Cali Untouchable DJs." Like many other music awards, the fans will decide the winners. Infusion Magazine named "West Coast Mixtape Kings Vol. 1" the "Mixtape of the Year" in 2005. If fans feel the same way, they just have to log onto https://www.TheMixtapeAwardsOnline.com and submit their choices.

DJ Warrior and DJ Strong have track records that deserve individual attention. DJ Warrior, "L.A.'s Mixtape King," has been named a "Top Ten DJ" by Rolling Stone Magazine and MTV, Mixtape dj of year source magazine in 2005, was nominated for mixtape dj of year @ mixshow power summit in 2004 & 2005 He has released over 50 mixtapes and has made appearances in hip-hop magazines (Vibe, XXL, The Source, Fader, URB,King, Scratch, Rime), car magazines (Import Tuner), newspapers (New York Times)etc,, and even "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Aside from that he has toured overseas and is even planning to release his first studio album, "Cali Untouchable Radio," in 2007. For more on DJ Warrior, go to www.DJWarrior.biz.

DJ Strong, the "Cali Untouchable Mastermind," has an impressive track record, which includes a discography of over 50 mixtapes, many of which are critically-acclaimed by magazines such as The Source, Scratch, Infusion, XXL, King, The Source Latino, and Rime. He has also made guest appearances on music videos like Crooked I's "Boom Boom Clap," O-Brown and B-Real's "Video Shoot", Movies like "Six Thugs" and "Wanna Be's", and has worked with artists like Ice Cube, E-40, B-Legit, Mitchy Slick, Xzibit, Glasses Malone, DJ Muggs, Paul Wall, Three Six Mafia, Daz and Kurupt (Official DJs of Tha Dogg Pound), and Game, to name a few. On top of that he is the one key element in the Cali Untouchable DJ fame and making hiphopwest.com, and Strong House Records Distribution Marketing and Management to market the "Cali Untouchable DJ" brand. For more on DJ Strong, go to www.DJStrong.com.

The "Cali Untouchable" imprint has given birth to the DJ crew itself and the "Cali Untouchable Radio" mixtape series. In fact, the next installment of the series will headline Ice Cube, just in time for his album release in June. DJ Strong and DJ Warrior are two of the hardest working mixtape DJs out there and just happen to have built the scene out in the West. Their hard work will pay off at the 2006 Mixtape Awards for the whole country to see. Like DJ Strong put it: "It's been me and Warrior since day one. If me and Warrior were not around, none of this would be what it is."
