Ann Arbor, MI. (www.ghostly.com) - As Ghostly International commemorates its seventh year this summer, the long-awaited sophomore LP from DABRYE (Two/Three, June 13) and the debut from BODYCODE (The Conservation of Electric Charge, July 11) will lead the label and its offshoot Spectral Sound into their second phase. Read on for exciting new projects from the Spectral roster and Ghostly favorites MOBIUS BAND.

DABRYE'S TWO/THREE : EARLY PRAISE
Featured on the cover of both the MAY issue of XLR8R and the JUNE issue of URB (alongside Dave Sitek and Just Blaze).

"Every track here is of the utmost intensity, and cements Mullinix's theory that hip-hop is electronic music. Years in the making, the wait totally pays off. Buy this on sight." - XLR8R

After a three year silence, Ghostly gang leader Dabrye (aka Tadd Mullinix) returns on June 13 with Two/Three, a buzzed-about sophomore effort that features guest MC work from artists as diverse as J Dilla, Beans, Vast Aire, Doom, and Ann Arbor's Kadence, with whom a summer tour is planned.

To date, the singles "Game Over" (ft. Jay Dee and Phat Kat) and "Air" (ft. Doom) have foretold the evolution of Dabrye's signature handmade beat sculptures – jazz and electro influences guide his uncommon attention to detail, making for a raw and uncompromising manifesto of modern hip-hop. Tour dates can be found below, and more details are available from www.ghostly.com.

MOBIUS BAND RELEASE FIRST OFFICIAL VIDEO
Ghostly is pleased to announce that indie-rock trio Mobius Band have finished their first music video, for the title track from their debut LP The Loving Sounds of Static. Directed by up-and-comer Wyeth Hansen, the clip features band members Ben, Peter and Noam exploring a Tron-inspired world of grids and mirrors, backed by the song's driving rhythms and guitar hooks.

PRAISE FOR LABEL COMPENDIUM IDOL TRYOUTS TWO
Since its release in March, Ghostly's double-CD/triple-LP compilation Idol Tryouts Two has earned lots of kind words from the music press, some of which are below. More info and several full songs from Solvent, Matthew Dear and others can be found at www.idoltryouts.com.

"A testament to the idea that technology can be an agent of freedom and delight, not control and anxiety, when humans use it as a tool and not a crutch. 8/10" -Pitchforkmedia

"In the past five years [Ghostly] has managed to define a sound that is recognizably their own, and in the meantime has been untouched by hype machines and still remains as consistent as ever. 9/10" -Lost At Sea

"The seeming effortlessness with which Ghostly achieves excellence throughout the double-disc Idol Tryouts Two leads one to wonder why other labels' compilations fail to reach equal heights. A veritable embarrassment of riches." -Textura

SPECTRAL SOUND: THE NEW FACE(S) OF DANCE MUSIC
The fourth full-length to be released on Ghostly's dancefloor-oriented brother label Spectral Sound comes from none other than Alan Abrahams (aka Portable) under the Bodycode moniker. The Conservation of Electric Charge features eight tracks borne from the belief that the psyche can be unlocked via the body; combining mesmerizing rhythmic webs with the influence of time spent in both London and South Africa, this is world beat like you've never heard it before. The album is out from July 11. Bodycode recently performed at ROBOTS Love May series and is tourig stateside performing live.

Also this summer, Spectral favorite Matthew Dear will release his newest material as [b]Audion on a split 12' with BPitch Control's Ellen Allien. Just a Man/Woman features four tracks from the international favorites – an original and a remix from each – and follows their co-headlining 2005 tour.
Also the Matthew Dear as Audion FABRIC mix will now be released mid-JUNE.

Finally, July 25 marks the commencement of the Spectral Sound Presents series, which aims to expose some of our favorite non-Spectral artists with their best new tracks. The first installment comes as a 12' featuring two exclusive tracks by René Breitbarth and a remix of Bodycode by Montréal's The Mole. More details on all of the above can be found at https://ghostly.com and https://spectralsound.com
