Tacoma, Wash. (focuspoint) - Tacoma rock band focuspoint is set to hit the stage for the first time in four years on Saturday, June 24. The band returns to Shakabrah Java - the same venue the band played in high school - to play a two-hour set starting at 8 p.m. The show is free. 'We're ready to get back on stage,' says focuspoint singer/guitarist Chris Watson. 'We'll be playing our favorite originals, including some new songs that we wrote over the last few months.' focuspoint, formerly Faceplant, went on an 'extended vacation' when bassist Paolo Mottola and drummer Danny Woodward took time to pursue education. Mottola graduated from Western Washington University last year, and Woodward recently graduated from MMI/Harley Davidson in Arizona. 'We're anxious to play together again and put on a great show,' says Woodward. 'We appreciate all the support we've got from our friends and family at home and we're determined to put on one hell of a show for them.' focuspoint consists of singer/guitarist Chris Watson, guitarist Jeremy Olson, bassist Paolo Mottola and drummer Danny Woodward. The band members met while attending Stadium High School in Tacoma, where they all graduated.
