LOS ANGELES (Top40-Charts/ www.schoolofrock.com) - The SCHOOL OF ROCK ALL-STARS are poised to dazzle their largest national audience yet with thrilling displays of technical mastery and showmanship, classic rock style, on an expanded U.S. summer tour.

Indeed, school's out for summer and boot camp is in for these tremendously talented teen players (13-17) - the best and brightest students from the more than 20 national branches around the country of the Paul Green School of Rock - as they embark on a 23-city tour in which they'll criss-cross the country to deliver "the gift of rock" to many cities where School of Rock branches exist and others are due to open.

In the six months since their last major outing, the SCHOOL OF ROCK ALL-STARS have shared some of the nation's top rock stages with "Guest Professors" such as Peter Frampton, Adrian Belew and John Wetton (Asia), and continued to astound capacity crowds of all ages wherever they play, serving up the greatest classic rock hits from Zeppelin to Zappa with an undeniable proficiency well beyond their years. Their "jaw-dropping performances" (SF Weekly) will be seen at a number of the nation's top rock stages this summer as well, from their debut at Lollapalooza in Chicago to the House of Blues in Anaheim and Cleveland.

The tour kicks off in grand style with a 2-night stay in Los Angeles, July 28 at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood (near the recently opened Hollywood branch), and July 29 at Canyon Club in nearby Agoura Hills, where a new branch is scheduled to open the following week.

The SCHOOL OF ROCK ALL-STARS will be tuning up for the tour by slaying another gathering of the world's Zappa freaks during their mid-July annual excursion to Germany's Zappanale festival, much like they did at the climax of ROCK SCHOOL, the critically acclaimed documentary on the PAUL GREEN SCHOOL OF ROCK which premiered in the spring on A&E.

Teen guitar prodigy and ROCK SCHOOL featured player C.J. Tywoniak is once again among those sharing stage time with the expanded group of new and returning All-Stars.
"We consider the SCHOOL OF ROCK ALL-STARS to be the finest collection of young musical ability in the country," says Paul.

Zak Page, the 13-year-old guitar prodigy already being buzzed about as "the Next C.J.," heads a list of "Kids to Watch" on the tour such as: 17-year-old slide guitarist Sara Zimmerman; 15-year-old electric violin phenom Katie Jacobi; crazy 15-year-old keyboardist Zack Miller; 17-year-old bassist extraordinaire Courtney Drew; reigning "Shred Master" Courtney Cox; 11-year-old keyboardist-saxophonist David Hooper; 17-year-old guitarist Kenny Lu, and 15-year-old bass player Danielle Guzman, an audience favorite and personal fave of Adrian Belew. The tyrannically tutored teens will be joined on most of the dates by their "extravagantly voluble, relentlessly belligerent" (New York Times) leader, Paul Green.

The SCHOOL OF ROCK ALL-STARS consistently play to packed houses and wild critical acclaim. Together and individually, they've been featured on national TV and radio shows including The CBS Evening News, MTV's Total Request Live and MTV News, and in Rolling Stone, Guitar Player, the New York Times, Washington Post, and countless others.

THE SCHOOL OF ROCK ALL-STARS have played over 150 shows coast to coast, at venues such as B.B. King's in New York City and The Knitting Factory in Hollywood, and have been joined on stage by such legends as Alice Cooper, Jon Anderson, and Eddie Vedder.

The Paul Green School of Rock - the apparent inspiration for the Jack Black full-length hit comedy, School of Rock - is the original performance-based rock music school. Giving students the "gift of rock" since it was founded in Philadelphia in 1998, the Paul Green School of Rock has been expanding rapidly across the nation this year. There are currently schools in 20 locations, including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Austin TX.

Aside from the stages of clubs and theaters coast-to-coast, students from the Paul Green School of Rock have played The Wildflower Festival, The Zappanale Festival (as documented in ROCK SCHOOL), The L.A. Film Festival, NAMM (International Music Products Association) Show in Los Angeles and Music Player Live confab in New York City.
