Sydney, AU (Universal Music Australia) - Before they head into the studio to record their debut album, Universal Music Australia's newest signing, The Vasco Era have some hot shows coming up, hitting the road with both You Am I locally and then with Wolfmother in London, before finishing up at the incredibly cool Death Disco in NYC.

This energetic three piece from Melbourne has garnered some impressive reviews for their live shows. Following their Falls Festival performance in 2005, Beat Magazine's Jaymz Clements had this to say: '...these guys pretty much grabbed me by the shoulders, gave me a quick kick in the balls, and blew me away. How do you spell talent? V-a-s-c-o-e-r-a. They played a White Stripes medley better than the White Stripes!'

In addition to that the trio have a list of achievements as long as your arm, including 2004 National Campus Band Competition winners, with previous winners being Eskimo Joe, Jebediah, The Vines, George, Waikiki and 78 Saab. The Vasco Era won 4 rounds including the national final in WA on October 30.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for their tour through your city, and their forthcoming debut album, which they will record on their return home and release later this year.
