LOS ANGELES, CA (BET/ Black Entertainment Television)) - BET announced today that multi-faceted entertainment mogul Diddy and hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg are set to present at the 2006 BET AWARDS along with an all-star roster that includes 2006 NBA Champion and MVP Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat, Ice Cube, Jagged Edge, Danny Glover, Baby, David Banner, Keenan Ivory Wayans, Mo'Nique, Yung Joc, Big Tigger, and Julissa, along with Ralph Carter, Bernadette Stanis, and Jimmie Walker of the famed Black sitcom "Good Times." Adding to the glitz and glam of BET's most-anticipated show of the year, four-time BET AWARDS winner Missy Elliott and R&B songstress Fantasia have been added to the lineup, as well as Sheila E., India.Arie, Lloyd Banks, Yolanda Adams, Rah Digga and Papoose. The electrifying, live three-hour telecast of BET AWARDS '06 at LA's historic Shrine Auditorium will take place at 8 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. CT on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 (tape-delayed in the Mountain and Pacific zones).

Undeniably the most exciting night in Black entertainment, the BET AWARDS is filled with explosive performances and once-in-a-lifetime moments from start to finish. Host Damon Wayans will also be accompanied by Lifetime Achievement Award winner Chaka Khan, Humanitarian Award recipient Harry Belafonte, and previously announced presenters Vivica A. Fox, Outkast, Vince Young, Rihanna, Shawn and Marlon Wayans; and past BET AWARDS host Steve Harvey. Topping the stunning list of celebrity performances, already announced by Executive Producer and BET Executive Vice President for Entertainment and Music Programming Stephen Hill, is Beyonce, Prince, Chaka Khan, Jamie Foxx, Busta Rhymes, Mary J. Blige, T.I., Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Keyshia Cole, Lil Wayne and Mary Mary.

106 & Park hosts Julissa and Big Tigger will jumpstart the coverage on awards day at 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT with 106 & Park Live From the Red Carpet. They'll get first crack at all the celebrities and nominees before they head into the Shrine for the telecast where artists will be feted in 15 different categories. After the show, more '06 BET AWARDS action can be seen and heard during BET NEWS Special: The Black Carpet Lounge hosted by Toure at 11 p.m. ET/10 p.m. CT. This one-hour program will feature exclusive interviews, show highlights and recap all of the day's action.

In addition, BET viewers can cast their votes for their favorite performer in the BET.com Viewers' Choice poll at https://www.bet.com, which takes place in "real-time" during the course of the telecast. Viewers can tune in to the ceremony to see if their chosen performer won the Viewers' Choice award, and also check out other interactive features.
