 London, UK (Sony BMG Music Entertainment UK) - Less than 10 weeks after she signed to RCA Label group Sandi Thom scored three No 1's. Her debut single 'I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker' went to the top of both the iTunes UK download chart and the UK singles charts. Her debut album 'Smile.. it confuses people' climbed to No.1 in the album charts! This month sees Sandi travel across the pond to start promoting the release of 'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker' and 'Smile.. it confuses people' in the US. On her return, Sandi will be playing at various festivals throughout the summer, and touring the UK in October. You can check out the full live dates in the 'Gigs' section of the site. Drawing on a musical palette that varies from Bob Dylan and Jeff Buckley through Carole King and Stevie Nicks to Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin, Sandi Thom joins the dots between black and white music. Throughout 'Smile... It Confuses People' - which was produced in a barn by bandmates Jake Field and Duncan Thompson – she seamlessly blends folk and soul strains and influences. 'Smile... It Confuses People' is out now on Viking Legacy/RCA. Sandi's second single from her No 1 selling album will be 'What If I'm Right' and is set to be released on 4th September.
