Nashville, TN. (www.toddfritsch.com) - Country newcomer Todd Fritsch and legendary singer/songwriter Gary P. Nunn have recorded a rowdy, poke-fun-at-stardom single, targeted specifically for Texas radio. 'Every Honky Tonkin' Hero Has His Day,' written by Todd and Doug Deforest, is Todd's latest Diamond Music Group release. The track hits programmers' desks this week via CD TEX. The two Texans trade lines effortlessly; a late-night barroom-sounding background chorus lends support and a gritty guitar line, coupled with a booming base, anchors the track. 'We all want our 15 minutes of fame,' says Todd. 'I had mine cuttin' this song with one of my heroes, Mr. Gary P. Nunn. And, yes folks, it will be included on my upcoming album.' Both singers have enjoyed considerable success: Fritsch can lay claim to three previous Texas Music Chart hit singles, and Nunn, a 2004 inductee into the Texas Hall of Fame, is best known as a world-class bassist, and for his role in the creation of The Lost Gonzo Band (Jerry Jeff Walker/Michael Martin Murphy). As a songwriter, Gary has had songs recorded by Walker and Murphy, Willie Nelson, Rosanne Cash, David Allan Coe and others.
