Sherman Oaks, CA (MSO PR/ Elicit/Majestic Recordings) - Infectious and unabashed, THE RANDIES unveil their sophomore effort SAW THE LIGHT August 29 on Elicit/Majestic Recordings (distributed by Navarre). The quartet's latest fusion of arresting pop hooks and raw punk energy-with nuanced guitar and vocal interplay-takes hold with the hazy and hypnotic first single "Freezer Burn," and doesn't let go through the sonic collage of "Born Again," the artistic pop of "Up In Lights" and the muscular and melodic "Thought I Could Change."

Putting their well-earned reputation for passionate and magnetic live performances to the test, THE RANDIES-founding guitarist/vocalist LAURA CATALDO and bassist/vocalist SIENNA DeGOVIA, along with guitarist/vocalist LAURITA GUAICO and drummer AARON "REX" POLK- jump aboard the Vans Warped Tour for several dates this summer before launching a coast-to-coast headlining tour with The Rainman Suite.

With their inexhaustible optimism and tireless pursuit of the elusive rock and roll dream, THE RANDIES are poised to conquer the world one fan at a time. The band started resolutely down that path with its 2004 debut, At The Friendship Motor Inn. Wrote Paul Rogers of LA Weekly, "At The Friendship Motor Inn crisply captures their Happy Days optimism and adroit arrangements, pumped with punky impudence and new-wave smarty-pants charm."

In an earlier live review, Rogers praised the band's "backbone of punkish Blondie/Runaways panache and knowing self-confidence in delivery," asserting that, "regardless of stylistic nuances, this is a rock band." Kevin Bronson of the Los Angeles Times concurred, noting, "The L.A. quartet delivers its pop punk with a wink and a shredded guitar riff…they pull it off with flair."

With songs from the band's debut showing up on TV shows like the WB's Jack And Bobby and MTV's Laguna Beach and There And Back-and a full slate of tour dates on the horizon-THE RANDIES are poised to blaze their way further down the trail to rock and roll glory with SAW THE LIGHT.
