LOS ANGELES (Gran Bel
Fisher Official Website) - Singer, songwriter and musician GRAN BEL FISHER-already being hailed for his "flair for poetry and imagery" (Jon Bream, Minneapolis Star Tribune, 6/3/06) and "sweeping choruses" (Michael Galluci, Cleveland Scene, 6/1/8/06)-will mark the July 25 release of his Hollywood Records debut album FULL MOON CIGARETTE with a cross-country trek with rising British songstress Corinne Bailey Rae.
The month-long tour kicks off July 24 in Seattle and includes shows in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston before wrapping August 30 in Minneapolis.
Possessing a distinctive baritone voice and imagery-rich songs about love, life and death, the Ohio-born, Los Angeles-based artist has already been building a buzz from his acoustic performances across the country with artists like Brandi Carlile and The Fray, not to mention stirring sets at Bonnaroo Music Festival and the High Sierra Music Festival.
The initial critical response to FULL MOON CIGARETTE-produced by Dave Bassett, recorded in Los Angeles and mixed in New York with Michael Brauer (Coldplay, My Morning Jacket)-is strong:
