AUSTIN, TX. (Money Yung'n Records) - New Orleans rap group Sqad Up, who has been a major force in the mixtape circuit in the South since 2001, is currently on a 58 city promotional radio tour. Backed by Money Yung'n Records, an independent label based in Ohio, the group has been on the road since May 19th, 2006. Sqad Up is promoting their upcoming album and bonus DVD, "We Here Now," which is in stores nationwide on August 8th, 2006. This is the group's follow up to, "
Now Or Never" released in June of 2004. 'We wanted to get the group out on the road so they could reach out to their fans,' says Money Yung'n Records executive Jay Exclusive, 'and show support to the DJs that have been spinning our records and to the retailers that consistently order our mixtapes and DVDs.'
With the first stop in Savannah, Georgia, the tour has been building up momentum as it steamed through the Southern states, headed to the Northeast and is ending with a number of dates throughout the Midwest and West Coast. The road continues through late September with a European leg scheduled to begin in October. Fans can catch Sqad Up at a city near them as there are several months left on the tour.

The response to Sqad's new music from radio DJs, station program directors as well as the fans has been overwhelming. The highly anticipated album, "We Here Now" features production from the legendary producer Mannie Fresh and several underground producers and features from Bizzy Bone on the single, "Getting Bizzy" and Reel on the single, "Swervin." The lead single, "Parking Lot" featuring Mannie Fresh, burned up the airwaves this past spring and the follow up single, "Get Rite" is currently in heavy rotation across the nation.
Sacrificing time spent with family and friends, the group understands how much dedication must go into promoting an album. Carrying an invincible attitude, Sqad Up sets its sights on a number one spot as they have overcome many obstacles including the tragic devastation of Katrina, only to position themselves with the support of Money Yung's Records, as major players in the rap game.
