Fresh off the heels of their first UK tour, THE SHYS (formerly The Gun Shys) are back in the US and touring coast to coast with friends The Colour. Kyle Krone says, "Touring with our dearest friends The Colour feels like the greatest trick we've ever pulled off. I can't believe everyone went for it. It's gonna be rock n' roll circus nightly."
Kyle Krone (vocals, guitar), Alex Kweskin (keys, harmonica), Chris Wulff (bass, guitar), and Mike Walker (drums) have just returned from their first stint in the UK and had this to report back, "We really didn't want to leave the UK. We felt welcomed with open arms, warm pints, and loads of ice cream. The kids there are alive with so much spirit, it's addicting." The Shys will be heading back to the UK and Europe later this year. Since signing to Sire Records, The Shys first single "Call in the Cavalry," is being prominently featured in the new MTV show "Fast, Inc.," as well as the HBO hit series "Entourage." The Shys debut "ASTORIA" is available now everywhere. Featured as band of the day on Spin.com, they proclaim, "The Shys consistently and confidently churn through weighty layers of fuzz as if they want listeners to hear them sweat." And on tour, this band is not to be missed; "They tear up the stage with their fuzzed-up super-rock like The Who in the early days," said RollingStone.com.
